Synthesized loops, glitching drum beats and euphoric textures, Italian artist Luca Draccar’s latest release is a force to be reckoned with. ‘Neo Noir Plaisir’ is a synergy of pleasure and sin, combining a kaleidoscope of genres and styles.
“It is a climbing stairs process on a dark night, when each new step may be the last, but only at the top will you have the well-deserved, pleasant reward,” says Draccar of the concept behind the EP. Paying homage to the industrial dystopia that forms Luca Draccar’s signature creative style, is the intensely electronic atmosphere that is captured through mechanical sounds and noises, driven by the beating heart of the programmed drums.
Sinking into a noir oblivion, Draccar is the narrator of a story that feels haunting and powerful. There’s an energy that
takes control of the senses, making it hard to break free from its trance.
‘Neo Noir Plaisir’ will be available on all major platforms from November 2021.
